Production of amorphous metal ribbons was done with a velocity of 30 m/s and a quench rate of 1000 K per millisecond. Three selected shots (close-up, 5000 frames per second) show tests characterized by different conditions in air. Quartz nozzles and a rotating copper wheel were used.
