The film looks at the planting, cultivation and harvesting of corn. First we see fields of corn, then an individual corn cob is examined. Examples of cobs that have been planted too close to each other are shown and the correct distance is explained. Two different methods are used in harvesting: cobs are either picked manually or mechanically.
