This educational film illustrates Article 10 of the German Basic Law with a fictional example. Two tax investigation officials visit a company that is suspected of embezzling profits. During a meeting with the company's executive and accountant, a postman delivers a registered letter. The tax investigation officials demand the letter from the postman, which they believe to be of great interest for their investigation. The postman explains that the letter falls under the confidentiality of posts and telecommunications and can therefore not be handed over to the officials. After accepting the registered letter, the executive is informed by his lawyer that he is now liable to disclose the letter, because he has accepted the delivery. The confidentiality of posts is no longer applicable after the delivery of a letter.
