The students of the Oberlin school in Potsdam are preparing for their big day. They have resolved to produce an entire circus programme this year, without any assistance; all of their subjects will be incorporated. The teachers call it "Project", the children call it "Circus Roxli Raxli."
The special attraction of "Roxli Raxli": the head of the high wire artists is confined to a wheelchair; the magician, the clowns, the pop singer, even the lions are severely handicapped. The school does not only instill knowledge upon these children, but is also their home during the week, and smooths their way to a future worth living.
For over one hundred years the reknown Oberlin house takes care of the most disadvantaged children of our country. Educational, medical, vocational and social rehabilitation determine the concept of this devout organization, whose ethical programme could perhaps be summarized as follows: give courage and strength to those disadvantaged by nature; do not show the children their limits but rather their possibilities.
