This film is divided into two parts. The first part demonstrates the fixation of the lungs according to the socalled funnel method. The second part shows the dissection of these lungs which have been filled and prepared. The hyparterial bronchi are cut on both sides thus removing the lungs from the trachea. Then both lungs are divided into about 2 - 3 cm thick discs. The two common methods are shown here: first the slicing into frontal discs and then sagittal discs.
