The large wrasse Cheilinus lunulatus inhabits shallow coral reefs of the Red Sea. It preys upon sea urchins. During prey capture the fish aims between gaps of spines toward the sea urchin's body which then will be totally devoured. This behaviour differs from other sea urchin-predatory-behaviour of other wrasses, which crush the prey on hard bottom by jerking head movements in order to cut the prey in little pieces. This smaller pieces are devoured.
