Archive title (00.04). Single shot. Background of undergrowth and trees with edge of
structure(?) extreme left. Girl in fantastic embroidered fancy dress and hat waves handkerchief.
Long haired man in Ruritanian gypsy outfit runs in to embrace her. They exit to structure. Pale
skinned indian with feathers in hair and rifle crawls in through undergrowth, followed by 2nd
fantastically dressed girl with revolver, 3rd girl in tights and feathers (who dances) and 3rd
man with rifle and coon cap. They set fire to structure. Lots of smoke. 1st man emerges firing
revolver, is shot and falls. Two more men (ranchers?) run in with revolvers and kill or capture
the attackers. (02.04 mins). Note: This film is a first and aborted attempt to film what was
later released as KIDNAPPING BY INDIANS (1899).
