The sixteen year old Susan is pregnant after a short relationship with a nineteen year old young man. In her parents' home the simple answer on difficult questions is "do not ask that much". The film shows education deficiencies at home and shows the influence of the friends. His (not very differentiated) opinion on the issue of abortion helps to evaluate and further stimulates conversation. To form her own opinion, Susan has never learned.
