The film starts slowly with some pans over the Sardinian coast. We see fishermen knotting their nets together and preparing the spears for the catch. After one last ceremony by the local priest the men leave in their ships. We see how they catch the tuna and bring them on the boats. After a humongous catch they return to their village where they treat the fish. Film ends with a seagull eating leftovers from a tuna.
