Homecoming celebrations for Lt. Clive Wilson DSO. Continuation of Mitchell and Kenyon
663,664,665 and 666. Lt. Clive Wilson seen with his family and at his home? Replacement title
(0.07). Large sign with Our Highest Praise on it and draped with Union flag and Red Ensign. The
sign hangs from some trees (0.22). Another sign hanging from a large house with Well Done D.S.O.
and again draped in Union flag (0.34) [Shaky picture from now to end]. Family group outside large
grand house (the house is stone built with a very large leaded bay window and large drive). It is
presumed that the family group is that of Clive Wilson. The group files past the camera (all
well-dressed) (0.51). They then file past again with the bay window in the background (1.14).
Clive Wilson (?) walks to camera from large front door watched from the door by two boys and
woman. He stops and smiles at camera. He is dressed in civilian clothes (1.35). A horse-drawn
closed carriage dives up to the house and a man and woman get in (not Wilson). A footman/butler
helps them into the carriage, while boys run about. It is then driven off down the drive (2.01).
Two women in fur stoles walk along the drive past the stone bay window to the front door (2.22).
A motorcar, with four men in it, drives along the drive passing the window. One of the men is
Wilson. The car drives past the camera again (2.40mins). Note: Lt Clive Henry Adolphus Wilson,
12th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry, DSO (Distinguished Service Order) gazetted 27 Sept 1901 In
recognition of services during the operations in South Africa (Boer War).
