Madi, a black youth, loves listening to music and breakdancing. He is never seen without his Walkman. He washes cars to afford a new radio. One day a customer refuses to pay. A argument erupts between Madi and Geert, the driver's younger brother. When the two boys later meet by chance in the street, Madi chases after Geert. While on the chase, Madi falls and is seriously injured. He is brought to a hospital. Geert is troubled by his conscience. He must see Madi in hospital...
