The German version of this documentary starts with an interview with director Luigi Vanzi, where he talks about his experience of making this film. He says it was important to him to really capture the spirit and the way of life of the American people.
The film, which starts after the interview, then goes on to shows and explain various American social developments, technical milestones, customs, traditions, minorities, gangs and localities.
The following topics are, among others, tackled in this film: Space flight, nuclear weapons, small town parades, beauty pageants, beach and pool-parties, Hollywood, poverty and income inequality, social consequences of slavery, racial conflicts, Afroamerican groups like the Black Muslims and the Black Millionaires and while supremacy groups such as the Klu-Klux-Klan
