The story suggested here is that at the bewitching hour of midnight, spooks and ghosts arise from their graves to cavort about and make merry. An expressionistic interpretation of "Danse macabre" by Camille Saint-Saëns. Conventional cel animation and pen drawings were done by Norman McLaren directly on 35 mm film stock.
