Satire about a state visit: a president (Heinrich Lübke - invisible) meets the Shah of Persia (visible). The film shows the events on the fringes of the world tour of the German President. It delivers visual punch lines in connection with Rossini's Figaro aria and parts of The Barber of Seville. The film was well received in 1966 at the Locarno International Film Festival and at the Cracow Film Festival. It received an 'exceptionally worthwhile' rating the same year.
