Mimi lives with her parents and the maid Fanka in a villa near the forest. One day, a gamekeeper comes to court Mimi when her parents are away. A plane has to make an emergency landing in the clearing and out steps a young man who is immediately taken with Mimi; she, too, is charmed by him. This provokes the gamekeeper who shoots the Robber, as he calls the pilot. The young man is wounded, but this only strengthens Mimi's love. The young man comes to her during the night and they declare love for each other. At that moment her parents return home and Mimi must promise not to see the Robber anymore, however she breaks this promise the very next day. An argument ensues between the Robber and Mimi's father. The Robber gets into the house and locks himself in with Mimi. Fanka rouses the whole town and everyone assembles in front of the villa but the Robber will not give himself up. Finally, the soldiers arrive, they blow up one of the walls and the Robber flees to his plane. He throws Mimi a spray of blossom and promises to come for her. It is only now that Fanka realises she had despised the Robber since he reminded her of her lost youth in turn, Mimi's father learns that youth and love cannot be broken.
