The intermediate-state structures of an evaporated superconducting lead film of 7 µm thickness in a vertically applied magnetic field of variable amplitude are presented. The domains have been made visible by means of the Faraday effect in thin evaporated EuS/EuF[2] films. The following topics are shown: 1.The penetration of magnetic flux, the formation of normal meanders and of normal honeycomb-like cells upon increasing the magnetic-field amplitude. 2.The nucleation of superconducting filaments, the formation of superconducting meanders and normal domains issuing the sample upon decreasing the magnetic-field amplitude. 3.The growth, the shrinkage and the disappearance of superconducting filaments upon slowly oszillating the magnetic-field amplitude.
