A postman bearing a telegram is vainly ringing the bell at Mrs Polášková's flat. Her neighbour coming back from the shops, is convinced that Mrs Polášková is at home and is afraid that something must have happened to her. In the presence of the police the janitor opens the door to her flat. The lady is indeed absent from home. The company is struck, however, by the fact that there is a pair of house shoes in each room of the flat. The janitor points our that Mrs Polášková is a very tidy person and that each pair of shoes has its purpose. The shoes with their non-slip soles are worn in the kitchen, the warm slippers for the living room and the dainty slippers with their swanskin decoration are worn in the bedroom. Finally, having popped out to the shops, the owner of the flat arrives home. She explains to them all that she has so many pairs of shoes since they are so cheap. This is an advertising film for Baťa.
