The landing of a DC-10 at Munich Airport is taken as the starting point to show the different tasks and logistic challenges in the every-day life of an airport. It contains mainly the boarding and deboarding of passengers, passport and customs control,the handling of baggage, catering services, maintenance and refuelliing of the airplane, the organisation of freight traffic, coordination of the airspace and its worldwide flight network and the monitoring of the flight traffic in the air plot ant the tower.
After the description of all these tasks, the film ends with the takeoff of the DC-10.
