Induced motion is commonly known as the clear motion of a static infield. Scheffler's (1992) demonstration also knows a surrounding in translation and the induction treated infield not moving from the spot but rotating around its centre. Since the translation and rotation velocity are equal the relative velocity at one tangential infield spot is zero and is double absolute velocity at the other. Relevant for visual perception is the relative velocity. Nevertheless one sees a rotating corona. With the reduction of the number of infield spots the figure decays.
