A film composed of foreign material introduces to viewers water as a helper as well as a great danger to man. We can see firemen extinguishing a vast fire at an oil derrick as well as the Rumanian King Karol with priests at a water worshipping ceremony. On the other hand, water is introduced as an element destroying dwellings. We observe disposal of wrecks after floods, a snow calamity in a town and at a railway line, ice floes threatening ships the way storms do as well as destroying forests on shore. Prior to shipwrecking, the crew helps itself with a Sigmund pump draining water. Many of the vessels end up ashore and soldiers are being saved by their companions. A lack of water, for a change, torments desert areas. We can see camels being fed with water at oases, muddy roads in the season of rains and water collecting in Tunis. The film is concluded with a view of remains of a Roman aqueduct.
