Although this film was made in last year of last period of cold war (Gorbachev time), still it seems that it had been made under high influence of that period. The Swiss way of looking towards geopolitical and military needs of a country inside Europe is expressed and floats during the whole film (both part 1 and 2) interweaving very routine daily life of people with different aspects of military issues, and focusing on their proximities gives us an impression of propaganda. when a granade explodes in yard of very beautiful village house during a maneouvre when soldiers work in bakery or profession of the 6 characters of film is directly connected to military, it sounds like an "all for Military" The characters of this documentary act more fictional that their own life.
