The film mixes trick shots with real scenes, whereby a relationship between orthogonal projections and the shadows thrown on a sunny day is shown. In order to examine orthogonal projections more closely, the following problem is treated by way of example: Is it possible to hold a given triangle so that its orthogonal projection (shadow) forms an equilateral triangle? The solution to this problem is reached by turning it into an equivalent problem concerning conic sections. The solution to the new problem then gives the solution to the first problem.
