A documentary showing the work on a Balinese rice plantation. The field is plowed with hoes, the young rice is planted and ripe plants are protected from birds. The rice is harvested manually with special knives and then mashed in wooden containers. The film ends with a ritual celebrated in honour of the goddess of fertility.
