The film shows the manner of eating of the grey kangaroo (Macropus giganteus). Pieces of plants are plucked by lips and teeth. When the grey kangaroo takes up food from the ground, its body is supported also by its forelegs. Larger blades of grass are plucked and eaten by the animal in upright position while always observing the environments. The symbiosis with a restless fly-catcher (Seisura inquieta) is demonstrated. Even after having left the pouch for ever young kangaroos are suckled by their mother. Ruminantlike behaviour is described.
