Ten year old Roberto is at home alone with his grandmother and gets bored. He goes out to do the shopping but loses all his money at cards. He goes back home late and is reprimanded by his grandmother. Later on thieves break in the house. One of them loses his mask, and the grandmother recognizes him. The thief goes after her with a knife, but Roberto throws himself in front of her like a shield and is stabbed in the back.
