1) Production of silkmoth eggs
Selection of the cocoons; after the eclosion of the moth and their pairing, the moths come into bags, where they lay their eggs.
The death moths are ground in a mortar and analysed in microscopes in order to exclude pathogenic germs.
The eggs are washed out of the bags, dried and stored in a refrigerator.

2) Breeding of the worms - handling of the dry cocoons
The silkmoth eggs are sent to the silk farmer who feeds the eclosed worms with mullberry leaves until they reach the needed size for pupation.
Spinning frames are installed where the worms pupate.
The dry cocoons are gathered and sent to the silk manufacturing factory.
There, the cocoons are boiled in order to unglue the silk thread.
The silk thread is then unstrung mechanically and wound up on a spool.
The last sequence shows the weaving loom with the ready-made silk fabric.
