A painter explains to his wife (Brigitte) his love to wood: He goes through the history of how man used this material, its properties and its processing. His wife argues, that he actually only loves the technical features of wood, and these can be substituted by other materials. But apparently there more behind it. Wood lives, we can feel its warmth. Its a declaration of love to the wood. We see different buildings and interiors using wood. Also those typical fancy 60ies furnitures. Brigitte understands her man now: He and his secret love to the wood.
