Carnival parade with cyclists in fancy dress at Accrington. Replacement title (0.07).
Cyclists, in clown outfits, pass camera left to right down crowd-lined and decorated street. Two
decorated, horse-drawn floats and a marching band follow. Then a carriage and cyclists (some
wheeling cycles) - the cyclists are in fancy dress - blacked-up faces, man wearing sign 'On road
to workhouse', garlands on cycles including the cipher ER, men dressed as Zulus (?) and in
historical costumes. Further decorated floats one with sign reading Nori'; more cyclists in fancy
dress (2.31mins). Note: Originally dated as c. 1900. The ER cipher - for Edward VII indicates a
date after 1901.
