Berlin, the avenue Unter den Linden, the travel agency of the Hamburg-Amerika-Linie. A man books a journey to Pernambuco (Brazil), railway journey to Friedrichshafen/Lake Constance. Arrival at Friedrichshafen station.
Following travelogue about the Graf Zeppelin's trip to Rio de Janeiro via Pernambuco; the film provides an insight into the machinery of the airship. Intermediate: Natural scenery of the Swiss Alps, of the Atlantic, of South America and furthermore insights into the passengers' daily life on board. Amongst the passengers Dr. Eckener while drinking coffee and together with a conjurer presenting his feats. In detail views into driver's cab, engine gondola, the hanger rods of the airship, into the fuel depot wherein the fluid helium is, the spark's cabine, the navigating bridge. Special pictures of start and landing.
At the end of the film short pictures of Graf Zeppelin boarding an airship and then becking in a window.
