Embarkation of the historical (disguised) troops of Fribourg and Solothurn in the port of Versoix.
The historic procession begins with the cavalry in the old town.
Military music (like the Musique Rouge from 1914) is presented by the Landwehr.
The political dignitaries of the Republic and Canton of Geneva.
The old grenadiers
Even disguised children participate (Tell and Walterli)
Geneva folklore groups present themselves in front of the authorities.
Arrival of boats in the harbor "Noir". Cannons are fired. Ships in front of the jet d`eau.
The commander de Girard presents his historical troops to the authorities.
The Solothurn troops go ashore.
Address by Federal Councilor Ludwig von Moos (no Romand), President of the Swiss Confederation.
Participants of the festivities meet for a picnic in the Parc des Eaux-Vives at long tables.
This wonderful day ends with unparalleled enthusiasm.
The national anthem is sung.
