Main (replacement) title (00.07). A wagon, loaded with crates, boxes etc on a quayside
crowded with people; it moves off (00.18). A sign reading For Baggage Only'. Baggage is taken
from carts and carried up a ramp onto the ship. In the mid-distance passengers walk across the
gangplank' boarding the ship. The port-side of the hull and upper decks of the liner can be seen
(01.40). Port-side of liner, name of ship Lucania' visible. A small, stationary boat full of
people in front of the bow of the ship. A crowd of people standing on the quayside looking down
at the stretch of water between the quay and the liner where three men are standing up and bobbing
up and down in a rowing boat. Pan port-side of hull and upper decks of Lucania' (2.11mins). Note:
The Lucania' was launched in 1892. It sank in Liverpool port in 1910 following a collision and
was burnt out. The liner docked in Liverpool where presumably this film was made.
