Documentation of the most important phases of the excavations from 1992. A new overall plan is made. North of the Schliemann trenches the exploration of the "older than Troy I" layers are completed. Parts of the fortifications of Troy V as well as habitations between Troy II and VI are excavated. In front of the Troy VI wall the skeleton of a tuna fish is found. In the Troy VI lower town the town wall is subjected to geomagnetic measurements and a timbered house exposed. New evidence for the destruction of Fimbria as well as a new chronology is proposed. Restoration work proceeds afresh.
