Torpedo boat destroyer (three funnels) of the Royal Navy passes along the Manchester
Ship Canal, as does a merchant ship. Replacement title (0.07). The road swing bridge at Barton is
opened. In the background is the open swing Barton aqueduct (1.23). A three-funneled torpedo boat
destroyer passes right to left of camera. The boat seems to be carrying civilian passengers. The
boat flies the white ensign, but no name or markings are visible (1.51). A merchant ship (one
funnel) being pulled and pushed by two tugs along the canal (passing right to left) (3.33).
