A portrayel of UNRRA’s aid to an Italian family, the Montinellis, leaving the DP camp and going home, to what had been once their modest but comfortable home in a typical Italian village. But that was before the enemy planes bombed their village. Now the village they are returning is only a pile of debris but is still home to Montinelli, his wife Maria, his son Vito, and baby daughter Tina. And as things seem hopeless UNRRA aid arrives.
