Ski race winner Hannes Schneider is chosen as fox. He must stay in a certain area and must be caught by midnight. 25 of the best male and female skiers chase Schneider around the unique and beautiful landscape. Schneider misleads his followers with clever traps, and soon gains more and more ground. Only one woman, even more daring and cunning than him, manages to catch his cap with a trick. She has fastened a nail in the underside of his ski and can thus find his tracks quite easily. Now a happy captive, the fox is lead by the woman into the coming Italian spring.
