The film explains the life of bees on the basis of the growth of one bee from the egg over the larva till the full-grown bee. Different roles and tasks in the hive are explained, followed by pictures of bees searching for nectar in the field and on different blossoms as well as the filling of the honeycomb. In the end we see the swarming of the old queen with half of the bee colony and three young queens in their fight for the rest of the colony.
