Main (replacement) title (00.07). Shot looking into a brick room lined with wash basins
(00.19). Brick building with large wooden doors. One door is open and fixed to the inside is a
poster reading Salford v Batley Saturday November 2'. Above this poster is small poster,
illegible but the letters LANW can be read at the top (00.36). The same location as before but
with the large doors closed. A suited man opens a door and some officials emerge followed by the
rugby team in dark, collarless shirts with light buttons and white shorts. Two men wearing flat
caps (probably referee and linesman) bring up the rear (01.03). The second team, wearing white
shirts and dark shorts, emerges from behind the door followed by a group of suited men (0.46).
Three horses pull an open-topped bus. The top of the bus, at the front, sit suited officials; the
team wearing white shorts can just be seen at one side. The bus moves off watched by a small
crowd (2.00). The team wearing white shirts comes through a gate onto an unseen pitch (2.20mins).
NB. The location is probably Salford. The Salford team is billed first and the letter NW in the
LANW lettering on the smaller poster may stand for North West. The ground is the same as MITCHELL
AND KENYON 141 UNIDENTIFIED RUGBY LEAGUE MATCH.
