This film shows the dissection of the epigastric organs removed 'en bloc'. At the beginning the block of organs laid in their natural position are demonstrated in detail thus giving the viewer better orientation. After this first the duodenum and the stomach, then the bile-ducts and the gall bladder are opened and separated from the liver. Subsequently the spleen vein and the portal vein are cut open, the spleen is removed and then the pancreas dissected. Finally the liver is separated from the other organs at the porta hepatis, cut open and inspected.
